Our Story
In 2008, Eastar Game Manufacturing (then a small workshop in China) was founded by a group of hobbyists passionate about board games. With modest facilities and limited resources, they focused on producing simple game components—basic boards, dice, and cards—for local tabletop clubs and small publishers. Quality was the early differentiator: even though capacity was small, Eastar committed to craftsmanship and accuracy, learning the ropes of paper, print, and manual cutting machinery. Their mission was simple: help bring game designers’ ideas to life, even if only in small runs.
By 2011, Eastar had begun scaling up. They’d invested in more modern printing equipment, raised their quality standards, and expanded the product line to include more complex game boxes and rulebooks in addition to boards and cards. Customer base widened from local clubs to national publishers. Processes were being formalized—inventory, design pre‑press, color calibration—so that orders were more consistent. Eastar started participating in trade shows to grow visibility. Internally, the team grew, adding specialists in quality control, customer support, and structural design of game boxes.
In 2015, Eastar was firmly positioned as an international manufacturer in the board game components space. Overseas clients made up a sizable share of orders. The facilities had been upgraded with higher‑precision tools for cutting, die‑cut punching, and more advanced packaging options. Innovation in component diversity—plastics, wooden bits, miniature elements—wasly expanding. Eastar also began supporting designers in mock‑ups and prototyping, helping clients with testing components before mass production. Lead times shrank, communication improved, customer satisfaction rose. It was a time of consolidation: Eastar refining its workflow, from design input to final shipping, to meet growing demand and higher expectations.
By 2019, Eastar had evolved into a full‑featured partner for major board game publishers worldwide. Their product catalogue included not only everything from premium game boxes, printings, punchboards, and boards, but also advanced miniature production, magnetic mechanisms, deluxe packaging, and complex inserts. The company had earned awards and recognition for quality and reliability. Production output and funded‑campaign support had grown to multi‑million dollar scales. Sustainability, tighter QC metrics, and technical development (for example, better mold design, precision plastics, clean finishing) became part of their value proposition. Eastar was no longer just a maker of components—it was a key collaborator helping creators bring ambitious, high‑end visions to market.

Benefits of Playing Board Games
A game, generally, adds joy to life, but board games additionally teach some unique skills and give a couple of really life-improving benefits. It’s not an activity that should be enjoyed once in a while when you get bored or something, but a great chance to level up your power of problem-solving skill.
